About Us
Established in 1960, Living Word is an independent, interdenominational Bookshop and Resource Centre, in Bognor Regis, owned by Tony Leney.
The first Christian Bookshop in Bognor Regis was opened over 50 years ago by Miss Elgar. Norman Todd took it over and moved to the present premises in 1971. Tony & Lindsay had contacts with the shop since the 70's. Lindsay worked as a volunteer while attending the local teacher training College. She was living in a flat over the Crescent Road Bookshop when they met.

In 1994, when th
ere was concern over the future of Living Word, Tony & Lindsay took it on. In 1995 they also took over The Chichester Bible Shop from David Olby and ran it until February 2006, when, sadly, they had to vacate because WSCC wished to sell the building.
The shop staff are Marje and Don, (who was Bognor Regis Town Mayor for 2007/8). Because Living Word is independent, our stock is sourced from a variety of publishers and suppliers. We aim to provide a friendly, personal service and have a Reward Card system for our regular visitors.
If you represent a church or school, we will supply "Sale or Return" goods and will always quote best possible price for bulk orders. Although we would love to see you in the shop, we are happy to post individual items to you --see Contact Us page --or deliver bulk orders within the local area.

In Memory
Lindsay had breast cancer 25 year ago but sadly (& unexpectedly in view of the time lag), the cancer came back into her bones very rapidly and she was promoted to Glory on 18th May 2022.
